It Just Wasn’t Worth It.

Four years ago I fell into a trap.

I like many others was lured in by the many Pinterest pins and blog articles claiming that you can make thousands of dollars each month by blogging. And after four years of blogging, I can tell you this is simply not the case. At least the way I was doing it.

After almost four years of consistently writing each week on my blog, I decided it wasn’t for me anymore. I abandoned my personal blog. …

While searching for a new eco-friendly laundry detergent to use I stumbled upon Tru Earth laundry strips and I decided to try them out. When I decided to commit to being as eco-friendly as possible, I honestly had no idea I would become so passionate about it. But I truly am. So all the thoughts and opinions you’ll read here are my own and I stand by them 100%. I was not paid or compensated to write this article, I actually do use these when I do my laundry.

You Can Do Them Too.

Let’s be honest 2020 has been rough on everyone. I know it’s been rough for me and because of that, I’ve had to ramp up my self-care routine to make sure that I am able to stay afloat. So today I wanted to share with you how I do it and how you can do it too.

Here are three simple things I do every day to improve my mental clarity:

Meditate

Every day, I start my morning off by doing a morning meditation. I try to do this before I get out of bed if I can. But sometimes I…

How to Become More Eco-Friendly in 2021.

A few years ago I wrote an article where I showed you 10 things you can do to become more eco-friendly. With the new year on the rise and more options to choose from, I decided to write another article. This time focusing on the things we use in our daily routines.

While there are many, many items I want to share with you, I thought it might be an overwhelming list that could scare people away. So I’ve decided to stick with 5 products so that you can start small but still make big changes.

Though these are affiliate…

Make a Living Working From Home as an ESL Teacher.

(Full Disclosure: This story contains referral links)

Are you looking for work from home job that’s both rewarding and keeps you on your toes? I was too. Then I became an ESL teacher and I think I found what I was looking for.

What Is ESL?

ESL in lengthier terms means English as a second language. An ESL teacher is someone who teaches English as a second language to those who aren’t native English speakers. It’s a fun and rewarding job, and I’m so happy I made the decision to do it.

How Do I Become an ESL Teacher?

I wrote a little about this in my first blog post…

Work From Home as an Online ESL Teacher.

(Full Disclosure: This story contains referral links)

At the end of 2020, and after much internal debate, I decided to officially get rid of my personal blog. A blog that I had worked on every single week for the last four years. It was my baby. But unfortunately, it just wasn’t what I had hoped it would become after four years of doing it. So I finally decided to let it go.

Then I took a break. Because everyone needs a break from time to time.

After some soul-searching and looking forward to what I would try to do in…

Are They Even Able to Be Present?

I was on the phone with one of my girlfriends the other day, Christmas Day as a matter of fact, and we have an interesting conversation. It wasn’t until after I got off the phone with her that I really thought about it though.

My friend had been upset because she didn’t feel like her boyfriend was spending enough time with her during the holidays. You see, they live together, so physically they were together. But emotionally they were not.

She was feeling like he wasn’t able or willing to put his phone down and be present with her.

Every…

I Used to Love Lifetime.

After a long day of work, I was sitting in my room looking for something to watch when I came across a movie on Hulu. At first I was hesitant because it was a Lifetime movie. And I thought to myself, this is probably another movie about murder.

But as it turns out, it wasn’t about murder. This one was about rape. As if that were any better.

See, I used to love Lifetime back in the day before they became a haven for true crime. …

It All Started With Water.

Last winter while I was living in Key West, I became chronically dehydrated. I was biking at least 4 miles every day going back and forth between my apartment and work. And in case you don’t know, it’s hot in Key West. Like extremely hot. Every single day.

So if you aren’t drinking enough water, you’re going to get dehydrated — fast.

I started to notice it when the skin on my face was becoming increasingly dry and nothing I did was working. No matter how much I spent on skincare products or hydrating moisturizing cream, nothing seemed to work.

We Really Need to Talk.

Ok, I’m going to try to keep this short and sweet. And I’m not making any apologies for how this may sound.

One of my biggest pet peeves, if not the biggest one is when people cough directly onto their hands. And it’s usually followed by them touching something and then touching you, without washing their hands. This makes me cringe and it should make you too.

Coughing in your hand is not only disgusting and lazy, it spreads a ton of germs and bacteria. This is basic coughing etiquette which you should have learned in kindergarten. …
